Recruitment Status: Open

To all the Titans family and those seeking to join the Titans. The time has come once again to place a freeze on active recruitment. Over the last couple of months, Titans Exodus has grown again beyond anything we could have expected and hoped for. We have gained so many wonderful people and have accomplished great things in the world of Azeroth. With that being said, the time has come for the Titans to once again slow things down just a bit in terms of growth. We need to allow all of the great people that have recently joined our family time to get to know one another. We are a large family now, and we need to stay that way... a family.

Titans Exodus has placed a freeze on recruitment with exception to the following class needs:

Closed - Firmly not recruiting said class.
Open - Open for qualified candidates.
Open - Open recruitment based on prerequisites.

Deathknight - Open
Druid - Open
Hunter - Open
Mage - Open
Paladin - Open (Prot Only)
Priest - Open (Holy Only)
Rogue - Open
Shaman - Open (Resto Only)
Warlock - Open
Warrior - Closed

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please feel free to talk with any of the counselors.

-------------- End Copy & Paste Below Information to Fill Out --------------

2. Each Initiate (see ranks) will be approached by a Counselor. The Counselor will explain the recruitment process as well as chat with you to get to know you better to get a "feel" to see if you are Titans material. During the conversation, the Counselor will decide upon offering you a trial run to begin the Initiation process. This Counselor is also here to answer questions, inform you of guild functions and so on.

During your Initiation, you are welcome to attend any and all Titans functions. However, raids that include the Titans ZSDKP system will have some limitations:
  1. Initiates will earn points at the same rate as full members, BUT may only receive items that are up for being disenchanted or unwanted by full members on the raid (normal point cost will be deducted).
Each potential recruit must register and properly fill out the application form stickied to the Titans Recruitment forum. Said Initiate will begin a 30-day initiation period starting from the time of the invite and they will have lower priority on raids and loot rights. If the individual receives any "No' votes, they must be detailed in the posting or messaged to an officer.

*Note: The only people that have been removed from the Titans are due to inactivity during initiation or attitude.

3. Initiation Guidelines. The intent of the Initiation period allows both you and the guild to determine whether we are the right mix of individuals for one another. During the Initiation period, it is up to the recruit to get to know current members by chatting in guild chat, instance grouping and signing up for raids (even if your availability is minimal). Listed below are some additional guidelines that coorespond with your Initiation period:
  • If at any point you are offline for more than 5-days during Inititation without prior notification on the forums will result in immediate termination from the guild.
  • If at any point you are offline for more than 10-days during Initiation with prior notification, the Counsel will decide whether or not an extension is warranted OR the Initiation peiod terminated prematurely.
  • During the Initiation period the Initiate must attend at least 2 weeks work of raids (i.e. If Karazhan, both days - not one). During these raids, at least one member (preferably Warlord or higher ranking) from the raid group must report on the performance and attitude of said Initiate.

4. Minimum Real-Life Age for New Initiates. To maintain the guilds stand on a mature family atmosphere the minimum age for new initiates to the Titans is 21 years old. However, we do understand that there are individuals out there younger than 21 years old that are as mature and would fit in well with the Titans. We still ask that you post your interest in joining as we will not turn away good mature people if the officer you speak with determines you are mature enough for the Titans. In addition, real-life family members are excluded from this rule, unless the child is unruly and un-controllable to deal with in the guild chat channel and in groups.

5. Minimum Level Requirement for New Initiates. To assure each and every guild member has the necessary means of being able to play with each other, we are now enforcing a minimum level of 80 upon recruitment into the Titans.

Thank you again for your interest in the Titans!

Casual Member

The Titans are about being a family and being a family means not turning our backs on one another. We understand that spouses do not want to be separated and that friends want to play the game together and hold the same guild tag. So the Counsel instituted a policy that would allow for any full members family and/or real-life friends to join the guild, even when we are closed for recruitment. However, exemption does not come without limitations.

As a Casual member you are not entitled to the same rights as a regular member in terms of raiding because you were invited based on different reasons. This is not to punish, not include or say "we don't like you", but it is out of respect for the current members that we do not want to sacrifice their spots on raids that they have earned over time. In addition, this is not to say that you cannot be converted from a Casual member to a member with regular rights. If/when we do decide to "open recruitment" for a specific class and you meet the criterion that the guild needs in terms of raiding, we may pull from our Casual listings before opening recruitment to the public.

Raid Etiquette

If you are on a raid you will maintain the same requirements and rules as set forth by the Counsel. If you persist in harassing the Master Looter or Raid Leader about the unfairness of your position OR do not follow the requirements and/or rules you will be removed from the raid and potentially banned from future Titans raids. Our rules are in place for a reason and we stand by them 110%. Every Casual member was well informed before the initial invitation into the Titans of these rules and limitations.

Contact Information

Please contact the leader of your appropriate class for recruitment information. If there is currently no counselor listed for your class, contact any counselor and they will point you in the right direction.

Family & Real-Life Friends

As a proclaimed casual-family-raiding guild we are quite lienent when it comes to fellow Titan's members friends and family, but over the past few months the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" has really boosted recruitment beyond comfort levels. With that said, we have tighten the criterion with regards to whom we are letting through the doors during closed recruitment.

Family

Exceptions to closed recruitment for family members must be immediate family. While we can appreciate your second cousins, step sister, twice removed would like to be apart of the Titans, we just cannot afford for our ranks to be overflowing. Immediate family members such as spouses, siblings and children (assuming they meet other recruitment criterion) are welcomed through the exceptions clause. Extended family will be considered more so than strangers of the Titans, but not granted exception status.

Real-Life Friends

Exceptions to closed recruitment for real-life friends must be close real-life friends. While we can appreciate the coworker down-the-hall, in the last cubicle on the right, that you ran into on break, who overheard you talking about the World of Warcraft would like to be apart of the Titans, we just cannot afford for our ranks to be overflowing. Close friends such as best friends, friends that you have gamed with in real-life or have known for an exceptionally long period (assuming they meet other recruitment criterion) are welcomed through the exceptions clause. Real-life acquiescences will be considered more so than strangers of the Titans, but not granted exception status.

*Please note that the Titans Counsel still reserves the right to turn away real-life friends and family based on the individuals attitude and poor reputation on the Elune server.

Titans Member Status

To be eligible to get a real-life friend or family member in the Titans, you must be past your Initiation period and have been promoted to at least Defender status. In addition, if you were invited under the Casual Member clause, you are not eligible for real-life friends or family to join under the exceptions until you are removed from Casual Member status.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact an Officer in-game.
