1. Personal Note to All Raiders

Raiding is much like a job in real-life. If you are not prepared and do not show up with 100% performance, you will be replaced by someone who can.

Some of the responsibilities of every raider include:
  • No Durability loss (100% repaired).
  • Show up ON TIME! If you show up for work 30-minutes late everyday, one day you will find out you have no job.
Some of the responsibilities of a Caster (Priest, Mages, etc.) include:
Some of the responsibilities of a Melee (Warrior, Rogue, etc.) include:
If you are engineer, PLEASE bring a repair bot. You never know when the night be a bad one and you want to be able to press forward without having to call it a night because of repairs. If you need help getting mats, let the raid leader know in advance (not 15-minutes before the raid) so that the leader can inquire to get help for materials.

Everyone has their "debts" to be paid in raiding. Whether it is the main tanks repair bill, whether it is reagents for group buffs or mana/health poitions, everyone must pay their part. So please, come prepared in every aspect and don't be the one person that does not.

2. Raid Specs

Sine the guild does not require raid attendance, we do not require specific raid spec's. However, spec's will be taken heavily into consideration when signing up for 25-man raid instances. If you are PvP spec'd or some sort of a Hybrid Solo Build, you will be chosen at a lower priority than someone that is properly raid spec'd.

3. Raid Add-on Requirements

3a. oRA2 is an upgraded version of Blizzards default UI to the raid window. While you personally may not use ALL of the features in it, it is a very important add-on to have for your compilation. It allows for important commands to be displayed on your screen that can come in handy in the heat of battle when the chat window is scrolling by too fast. It also allows for ready checks to see who is ready and who is not. Plus having your assist target(s) on screen and readily available incase you need to switch targets fast.

I know a lot of people do not like to mess wth add-ons as some believe they are cheats or "bots", but this add-on will not do this if you do not want it to. Please be a teamplayer and pick up this add-on for the purpose listed above and help make all of our raids successful ones!

Latest Version: oRA2

3b. Omen monitors and records your threat, and will list your threat in a table with other members of your party or raid group who are using the mod. Most class talents, abilities, and items that cause or modify threat are taken into account. There is a table for your personal threat contribution, broken into specific categories such as white damage, healing, mana gain, etc, and specific abilities such as Sunder Armor and Taunt.

Omen can be easily updated with the WoWAceUpdater application, which can also update all Ace related mods with a few clicks.

Latest Version: Omen

3c. Ventrilo is a "voice chat" application that will allow you to actually speak with other raid members and hear instructions audibly. While some state it ruins the immersion in game by hearing real people's voices, it can make strategy processes move along 10 times faster as everyone knows speaking is significantly easier than typing out logn strategies like Majordomo or even Onyxia.

Voice chat applications will allow you to get to know your guildmates as well as alliance friends on a different level and establish a better trust for the player fighting along side of you. You not only get to know the character, but the person running the character. Ventrilo (at least to listen) is required for high end raids such as MC, Onyxia and BWL.

Latest Version: Ventrillo 3.0.4 (Bottom of the Page)

For more information on our Ventrilo server information please click here.

4. Raid Signup Posts

4a. Raid Signups. All 25-man raid sign ups will be posted in the Titans Raid Calendar on Friday's for the following weeks raid schedule. All 10-man raid sign ups will be posted in the Titans Raids forum on Friday's for the following weeks raids. Sign ups are closed as of Noon on the following Monday for all raids.

4b. Arriving on Time. While we all run into problems once in a while and end up 5-minutes late, please do your best to show up on time. That does not mean log in at 7:05PM for a scheduled 7PM raid and then expect to be summoned. Be prepared and plan ahead if you think you may be late, log out at the zone entrance or in the closest town. Summonings will be halted at the start time unless indicated otherwise by the raid leader. This is to insure that the raid gets started on time and that all goals are met before people will need to log.

4c. Raid End Times. The raid end times are not by any means unfair or out of reach compared to majority of the guilds on the Elune server. The end time is typically 11:00PM EST during the week, which is very respectable and should be adhered to. If you cannot stay the entire duration of the raid, you MUST note so in your raid signup. This will not necessarily disclude you from the raid, but it may put you at a lower priority if you can only stay for an hour of the raid.

It is not fair to the other 9 or 24 members when people leave the raid high and dry so early into the run especially when there were people before the actual start time that could have stayed, but logged because the raid was full only for you to leave an hour later.

Further abuse to leaving raids early or without prior notice to an officer (and not 2-minutes notice) so that we can start working on a replacement in a decent amount of time will result in said person being automatically placed in queue for the following raid. Obviously we understand emergencies (car accidents, wife giving labor, etc.) and of course no one will be punished for an emergency.

4d. "No Show" on Raids. While we understand that things come up in real-life and you cannot make a specified raid, we hope that you will make every effort to let us know in advance so that we may be able to fill your spot. Whether it is in-game contact via email or out of game via the forums OR email. While we will never require raiding and are very flexible on our policies. If you sign up and no show for several raids, you may be asked to sit out the following raid OR be put on the alternate listing unless class fulfillments are not met. These policies are in place not so much to punish you, but to make sure the other 9 or 24 people in the raid have a fun raiding experience and not having to rely on no shows week in and week out.

4e. Outer Guild Raiding. Titans Exodus will never require raid attendance. This is the flexibility that allows people to raid when they have time, as their schedule permits. Our raids are formed around the people and nights that we have available. This practice is based on the assumption that people in this guild will be raiding with this guild. Raiding outside the guild impairs our ability to form our own raid groups and works against the flexibility we strive to provide. To this end, it is expressly forbidden to raid with another guild (or pug) in a raid instance that is an eligible destination for our own DKP raids.

The only exception to this rule is if you are not able to make any of our own raids. For example, our current raid nights tend to be Wed, Thu, and Mon. Joe Raider recently changed shifts and now works second shift on Mon-Fri, making it unable for him to attend any of our raids. Since he is not able to attend any of our raids, he can seek out an extra-guild raid group if he so desires.

As far as non-DKP raids go, the council whole-heartedly endorses raiding with your fellow guildies but there is nothing against visiting those dungeons with non-Titans.

5. Alternate Characters (Alts)

Alternate characters are not permitted on Titans Exodus sponsored DKP Functions. Alternate characters are ONLY welcomed at the discretion of the Officer/Raid Leader as a last viable option.

In addition, Alternates will not have equal loot rights on these raids. The ZSDKP system we use is based on per-person not per-character, so any points you spend on your alt, will be deducted from your main character.

6. Initiates

Initiates will earn DKP at the same rate as full members, but will be considered low priority regarding loot on DKP Events. After 30-days, initiates will be properly integrated into our DKP system and will be considered full members with equal loot rights. While initiates and full members have equal rights on attendance for DKP Events, raid performance and gear will ultimately decide the final roster for the weekly raid groups.

7. Loot Policy

7a. All 10-Man Instances (NBG, 1UP*, ML). 10-Man instances are designed for gearing up participants to move on to larger 25-man raid instances. First and foremost, All 10-Man Instances are Need Before Greed and secondly under the 1UP ruling. In addition, per standard raid rules, full members have priority over Initiate members. However, if x healer item drops and "player a" already received an item during the run and you would only use it as a secondary item, but "player a" can use as a primary item, "player a" will have greater priority. This is not about gearing up your secondary or tertiary sets, but your primary set that you will be using during larger scale raids. All 10-Man Instances will also have a designated Master Looter that will collect all BoE items and sell them accordingly and split the sellables to the rest of the raid to help endure consumable and repair cost.

7b. Dragon Kill Points (DKP) Bidding System

Where Can I See How Many Points I Have?

http://dkp.titansguild.com

How do I Earn DKP?

Dragon Kill Points (DKP) is no longer earned via items looted (aka ZeroSum DKP) in Titans Exodus. DKP is now earned through your contribution in time via sponsored events. Here is a breakdown of the amount of DKP you can earn in a raid:

DKP Per Hour: 5

Your character will earn 5 DKP per hour on Titans Exodus sponsored raids. In the event that a raid does not last the full duration of an hour, it will be rounded to the nearest hour (i.e. 10:20 = 0 DKP & 10:40 = 5 DKP).

On-Time DKP: 5

On-Time DKP is a incentive bonus for showing up prepared and ready to start at our designated start time (7:00PM EST). If you are in the raid, at the zone in, prepared with consumables and fully repaired, you are eligible for this once a night bonus.

First Kill DKP: 10

The First Kill DKP is an incentive bonus for being apart of the raid group for the "first" kill of a boss mob.

Boss Kill DKP: 5

Boss Kill DKP is earned when a boss dies during a raid. This is in addition to DKP earned per hour.

How do I Spend DKP?

Council Members on raids will be setup with an add-on to help track the bidding process. All you need to do is send the Master Looter a tell in the following format:

/w <masterlooter> bid <quantity>

You have one chance to bid and there is a 1 DKP minimum on all items. What you pay is the second highest bidder's bid plus 1.

For example, if PlayerA bid 55, PlayerB bid 74 and PlayerC bid 20 - PlayerB would win the item and pay 56 DKP.

If you bid more DKP than you have earned, you will automatically be disqualified for the item. You will have 30 seconds from the announcement of the loot in the Raid Channel to place your bid before bidding is closed. In the event of a tie high bid, the winner will be decided based upon whether or not one of the individuals has received a upgrade on the raid and then followed by Total Earned DKP. If there is only a single bidder for an item, it will cost the bidder 1 DKP for said item.

The amount of DKP you start the raid with is the amount you are allowed to bid up to. Any DKP earned during the run will be updated at the end of the night and will be available for use on the next DKP event.

Adjustments to the system are subject to change at any time the Council deems necessary for the stability of raiding in the guild.

Can you show me a rundown of how it will actually work?

Sure thing! This is obviously a mock up, so no actual points were hurt in this example:

Beginning points for Druids

Druid01: 20
Druid02 50
Druid03: 75

Sartharion dies... Druid01 decides to bid 20, Druid02 bids 30 and Druid03 bids 75 for the [Gloves of the Lost Vanquisher]. Druid03 would win the item and pay 31 DKP for the item. So now the point standings would be:

Druid01: 20
Druid02 50
Druid03: 44

Kel'Thuzad dies... Druid01 decides to bid 20, Druid02 bids 50 and Druid03 bids 44 for the [Staff of the Plaguehound]. Druid02 would win the item and pay 45 DKP for the item. So now the point standings would be:

Druid01: 20
Druid02: 5
Druid03: 44

Kel'Thuzad dropped a pair of [Helm of the Lost Vanquisher] Druid03 already has and doesn't bid, but Druid02 bids 5 points and Druid01 bids 20 points. Druid01 would win the item and pay 6 DKP for the item. So now the point standings would be:

Druid01: 16
Druid02: 5
Druid03 44

So as you can see, everything still balances out in the bidding system and each individual has a good shot at winning any piece of loot that drops during a raid.

7c. Recipes/Patterns/Enchant/Plans Distribution

All Rare and Epic recipes/patterns/enchants/plans that drop on Titan Raid events will be distributed to the individual with the highest Total Earned DKP. The reason for this distribution method is so that we ensure the profession skill has a higher likelihood of staying in the guild and that the activity of the individual that posses it is an active Titan.

7d. BoE Drops on ZSDKP Raids

Random BoE drops that drop on raids, will be sold via Vendors or on the Auction House to help contribute funds for purchasing herbs and other materials needed for raids. If you are interested in a item that drops, please send a tell to the Master Looter at the end of the raid for more information on said item. If the item is an "up" for you and you will equip on the spot, please send a tell to the Master Looter at the end of the raid for the item.

8. Main Switch Request

Main Switch Request is always a delicate matter with the Titans. Since we do not require raiding, it takes us longer to gear all of the individuals to be able to progress further on in the game. Obviously switching from one well-geared character to a new character that is not as well geared is a step back for the guild progression wise. All Main Switch Request should be forwarded to the guild leader or any officer and a posting will be made in the Officer forum for discussion.

If your Main Switch Request is approved, all of your DKP points will be transferred from your old main to your new character. If your Main Switch Request is denied, you may still play the character of your choosing, but your "new" character may not attend any Titans DKP events.
